Wheat Flour Production Process Steps

Step 1: Cleaning and humidification

First of all, wheat needs to be cleaned and humidified to remove impurities and unwanted parts, such as wheat awns and part of the bran, and then adjusted to the appropriate humidity for subsequent processing.

Step 2: Separation

During the milling process, the endosperm (the main ingredient of flour), the bran (hull and testa) and the wheat germ are separated from the wheat kernel.

This step is crucial in flour making, as the quality of the flour depends greatly on the degree of separation of these components.

Step 3: Milling

The separated endosperm is ground into flour. This process usually involves physical methods such as grinding and sieving to ensure that the endosperm is finely ground into flour.

The length and detail of the milling process depends on the required precision of the flour. For example, in order to produce high precision flour, more grinding and finer processing is required to ensure that a low amount of bran is mixed into the flour.

Step 4: By-products
