Project Overview (5000TPD Beet Sugar Processing Plant)
Scale: Daily processing capacity of 5000 tons of sugar beets (5000TPD), annual production period of approximately 150 days, annual processing capacity of 750,000 tons of sugar beets.
Products: Approximately 80,000–90,000 tons/year of refined white sugar/granulated sugar; by-products include pelleted sugar meal (feed), molasses (for alcohol/yeast production), and filter mud (organic fertilizer).
Land Use: Approximately 150–200 mu (including raw material storage yard, production area, finished product warehouse, environmental protection area, and office and living area).
Sugar Process Flow (7 Core Processes)
Raw Material Receiving and Pre-treatment
Unloading by truck/train → Stone removal, impurity removal, iron removal → Spray washing → Shredding.
Extraction (Saccharification)** Vegetable shreds enter a continuous exfoliator (DDS type), where they are extracted countercurrently with 70°C hot water to obtain exfoliated juice (containing 12–14% sugar) and waste meal (pressure filtration → drying → pelleted feed).
Sugar Juice Clarification (Crucial)** Add lime milk (neutralization, impurity removal) → Pass CO₂ (carbonation, precipitation of impurities) → Secondary carbonation → Filtration (plate and frame/vacuum filtration) → Clear juice.
Evaporation and Concentration** A four-effect falling film evaporator, with countercurrent steam, concentrates the clear juice to 60–65% syrup (energy saving, heat recovery).
Crystallization (Sugar Boiling)** Vacuum crystallizer (65–70°C, negative pressure) → Add seed crystals → Concentrate to sugar paste → Aid crystallization (cooling to cultivate crystals).
Melamine Separation (Centrifugal Separation)** High-speed centrifuge: Sugar paste → White sugar crystals + Molasses (mother liquor, which can be further boiled or sold as feed/alcohol raw material). Drying, sieving, and packaging: Fluidized bed drying (hot air) → Cooling → Sieving → Automatic packaging (50kg/bag or small packages) → Finished product warehousing.
