Rice bran oil, rich in vitamin E and oryzanol, has become a popular healthy cooking oil worldwide. But how is it produced on an industrial scale? Let's step inside Huatai's rice bran oil production workshop.
The Foundation – Fresh Rice Bran
Huatai's rice bran oil line is built upon a large-scale rice mill. While producing high-quality rice, fresh rice bran is promptly collected and sent to the pretreatment workshop. Fresh rice bran is the core prerequisite for high-quality rice bran oil, locking in primary nutrients to the greatest extent.
Stage 1: Pretreatment Workshop
Rice bran undergoes cleaning, conditioning, puffing, and drying. The puffing process uses high-temperature, high-pressure treatment to deactivate enzymes (>95%), transforming powder into porous pellets. This extends storage life from hours to months.
Stage 2: Extraction Workshop
The prepared material enters the extraction workshop. Huatai customizes rotary, loop, or drag chain extractors (national patent) based on customer capacity. Countercurrent solvent technology achieves ≤0.5% residual oil in meal.
Stage 3: Refining Workshop
Crude oil undergoes degumming, deacidification, decolorization, deodorization, and dewaxing to produce Grade 1 rice bran oil. The process removes 3-12% wax content for crystal clarity.
