The requirement of methods of cleaning

Although rapeseed have been cleaned before sending to factory, there is also a part of impurities such as dirt, sand, stone, metal bloc,hemp rope. According to the requirement of edible oil refining, those impurities should be removed as far as possible. After cleaning, the impurities content doesn’t exceed 0.5%. Because the shape is different between rapeseed and impurities, impurities can be removed by using that feature.

The methods for rapeseed cleaning

Screening, winnowing, magnetic separation, removing mud.
1. Screening is manly based on the dimension difference between oilseed and impurities, removing then impurities which bigger or smaller than rapeseed.
2. Winnowing principle is the difference between impurities and canola speed in the air, utilizing the airflow and winnowing equipment to remove the light and heavy impurities.
3. Magnetic separation is based on the magnetic difference between rapeseed and mental bloc.

 

Cold pressing of rapeseed:

 Adjust the moisture content of rapeseed to 7.5%-8.7% before feeding.

Hot pressing of rapeseed: 

Heat the rapeseed to 100-110℃, take a sample and place it on a flat plate, and rub it with a small piece of wood.
 If the shell and the core are powdery, it means that the rapeseed is too dry, so the oil does not flow smoothly and becomes a paste, and it cannot be squeezed. At this time, appropriate water should be added evenly before squeezing;
 If the rapeseed shell and the core are separated and the core is in two pieces, it means that the moisture is appropriate. Add 1-2% water and mix well before squeezing. When squeezing, the oil flows smoothly and the cake is tile-shaped;
 If the shell and the core are connected together, it means that the rapeseed is too wet. When squeezing, there is white foam in the oil and the oil does not flow smoothly. It often takes multiple squeezings. Although the cake is formed, it is very soft and the rapeseed needs to be fried again.
