Complete Copra Oil Processing Line
Huatai's complete copra oil processing line consists of three main stages: Pretreatment → Pressing → Refining.
1. Pretreatment Workshop
The pretreatment process is specially adapted for copra's unique characteristics. Dried copra (moisture 7%-10%) is first cleaned by magnetic separators to remove metal impurities. It then passes through a hammer crusher with optimized screen size to break the large blocks into uniform small pieces (5-10mm). Following crushing, the material is conditioned by steaming at 110-115℃ for approximately 20 minutes, reducing moisture to 3-5%. Finally, the flaking process uses a larger rolling distance (3-4.5mm) compared to conventional oilseeds to prevent clogging and oil exudation.
2. Oil Pressing Workshop
Due to coconut oil's high oil content (52-72%), secondary pressing technology is used to maximize extraction. Pre-pressing achieves approximately 70% oil yield with residual oil in cake at 15-20%. A second pressing using Huatai's specially designed copra oil press reduces residual oil to 5-8%. For maximum yield, solvent extraction units can further reduce residual oil to below 0.8%. The copra oil press features rational structure, high production efficiency, easy maintenance, and integrates cooking function to adjust moisture and temperature for optimal pressing results.
3. Refining Workshop
Huatai offers three refining process options based on production scale: batch refining (1-20 TPD) for small operations, semi-continuous refining (20-50 TPD) for medium-scale production, and fully continuous refining (50-600 TPD) for large-scale industrial production.
The refining process includes six essential stages. Degumming removes phospholipids and gums. Deacidification (alkali refining) neutralizes free fatty acids. Decolorization uses activated clay bleaching to remove pigments for crystal clarity. Deodorization employs high-temperature (220-240℃), high-vacuum steam stripping for neutral taste. Dewaxing removes wax content essential for coconut oil clarity. Finally, filtration provides final polishing before packaging.

Key Technical Parameters
Steaming temperature is controlled at 110-115℃. Residual oil in cake using pressing only is 5-8%. When solvent extraction is added, residual oil drops to below 0.8%. Deodorization operates at 220-240℃ with a vacuum of 0.095MPa. Filling accuracy reaches ±0.5%.
